Verses like Proverbs 3:5&6 and the verse that says He orders our steps and so many more. I have been at Champion Life Church for 10 months and 20 days today. I can show you my prayer list that specifically asks the Lord to place me in a workplace of ministry. Ministry is my heart, my calling, my joy and delight. The background of how I came to be here is just amazing. Even more amazing to me was that Pastors Eddie and Tammy would welcome me here and believe that the Lord brought it all together.
One of my favorite things about following Jesus is that we are instructed not to do it alone. The Word has so many verses about our relationships with one another…LOVE one another, HONOR one another, SUBMIT to one another, we are MEMBERS of one another, ENCOURAGE one another, BEAR one another’s burdens, FORBEAR one another (meaning to be tolerant of one another), GREEET one another, SERVE one another, BE IN ONE ACCORD, ACCEPT one another, ADMONISH one another. Ecclesiastes says “Two are better than one…for if they fall, one will lift up his companion. But woe to him who is alone when he falls, for he has no one to help him up” (chapter 4, verses 9 & 10).
My first introduction to a Sunday at Champion Life Church was this: Before my friends and I entered the building we were greeted and warmly welcomed by Linda Jessie who took time to chat with us and tell us about Champion Life Church. Entering the sanctuary, Valerie Castellano gave us another warm welcome. My friends and I all had good things to say about Champion Life Church after our first service. This is exciting because everyone who visits our church will experience the same welcome, greeting and love as we did. The way we love people is our reputation in our community…what a great reputation to have.
If you want to PRAY TOGETHER, you will receive a WARM WELCOME on Tuesday at 6:30 AM … we can practice our “one-anotherings” as we pray together!
